I met my wife to be in the fall of 72 in Pittsburgh, PA. We were married in 75' and relocated back to Lancaster in 81'. Ironically, all 3 of my daughters served in
the USAF. Visiting them during their active duty years, Carol and I have been all over the globe visiting them. My wife to this day is still my best friend and we have 8 grandchildren aging 3 weeks to 19 years.

I have never crossed paths with a single faculty member since graduation until today. I was buying a dozen ears of corn at a local farm stand on Brubaker Valley Rd just west of 501. Just him and I were there by the self service cash box and I recognized him immediately, 50 years later! Mr. Mearig. We had a pleasant conversation and we parted ways both smiling. That was so nice.
